President Martha Burger invited Student Publications into her home to give a tour of Wilson House.
Wilson House is the university owned home for the president. Burger moved into the house on Sept. 1.
It is located on Blackwelder Avenue between the Oklahoma Children’s Theatre and the Ann Lacy Admissions & Visitor Center.
Burger has art from OCU artists displayed in her home.
When asked by the university trustees if she intended to live in Wilson House when she became president of OCU, Burger happily accepted.
“It is absolutely the right thing to do,” she said. “There’s so many things that I need to be here for in the evenings. If you’re home 10 miles away, you’re less likely to come back.”

Is this the Wilson house not too far from the federal building I believe like on 3rd street. This was my Aunt June’s husband Phil Wilson’s family home . I have pictures of it today but never got to see the inside. My dad told me there use to be a ballroom on the 3rd floor.. Would love to see inside some day. I no longer live in OKC but live in Dallas area and could come and tour . My name is Lise Palmer
