Students will have the option of voicing their opinions about proposed undergraduate education changes. A general education forum will be hosted from noon to 1:30 p.m. tomorrow, March 22, in the Great Hall in Tom and Brenda McDaniel University Center.
Associate Provost Tom Brown and Andrew Spiropoulos, chairman of the general education committee, will be in attendance to answer questions, said Dorothy Tennery, executive assistant to the provost.
The purpose of the event is to engage in open discussion with students and faculty about the proposed revisions, said Murla Adams administrative assistant for the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
Not many students had RSVPed for the forum as of March 21 and this isn’t good for maximum student input, she said.
“I think it’s important for students to attend,” Adams said. “It might not affect them, but it might affect someone else.
“It’s for the future of their OCU education.”
Students and faculty are invited to attend and are not required to RSVP.
