There are now only two contenders for Student Government Association in the presidential race.
Arianna Harmon, religion/philosophy sophomore, will not be running for president of SGA.
“I am getting married in December,” she said. “I had a couple of revelations today, and for that reason I am not running.”
Harmon said she is also a youth director, which takes up some of her time.
“I decided that it would not be best for the school for me to take on another thing,” she said.
Harmon will finish out this term and continue to serve as student service committee chair until elections.
“I enjoy working with SGA and would like to continue to do so,” she said. “It is just not in the best interest of the school for me to run for president at this time.”
Jeff Poulin, entertainment business junior, and Emma Velez, political science/philosophy sophomore, are still running for president.
