The women’s golf team posted a sixth-place finish in the Houston Baptist Husky Invitational March 31 at Riverbend Country Club.
Oklahoma City, ranked fourth in NAIA women’s golf, compiled a 313-319-314–946 to end the tournament ahead of four NCAA Division I teams. Sophomore Kailey Campbell tied for 17th to pace the Stars.
Campbell provided the Stars with a 77-77-79–233. Campbell led the team with 33 pars in the 54-hole event.
Freshman Emma Allen tied for 19th with a 77-81-76–234 for OCU. Allen sank five birdies on the par-72, 6,084-yard course.
Sophomore Katie-Lee Wilson supplied the Stars with an 80-79-82–241, while sophomore Caroline Goodin contributed a 79-82-80–241.
OCU’s Anna Mikish had an 80-85-79–244 while burying five birdies.
Temperatures began the day at 64 degrees, then climbed to 80 degrees. Winds ranged from 5-14 mph with gusts up to 23 mph.
OCU wraps up the regular season in the Oklahoma Baptist Spring Invitational April 6-7 at Lincoln Park’s East Course in Oklahoma City.
