Women’s golf places fourth in golf invitational

PRIMM, Nev. – Top-ranked Oklahoma City University finished fourth after one round of the Battle at Primm at the Primm Valley Golf Club.
The Stars, ranked first in NAIA women’s golf, shot 317 on the par-73, 5,925-yard course and are 13 shots off the lead held by Oklahoma Christian.
Junior Golfer Taylor Howard carded a round-one 77 and finished in a tie for ninth. Howard is five shot behind Anna Arrese of Oklahoma Christian.
Junior Golfer Jessica Schiele fired a 78 to tie for 12th, six shots off the lead.
Junior Golfers Mary Larsh and Tanya Tibshraeny each shot 81 and freshman Kendra Mann finished with an 82.
OCU will compete in the final round of the Battle at Primm Tuesday at the Primm Valley Golf Club.
