Original university building sold to Positive Tomorrows
The building that housed the incarnation of OCU, then called Epworth University, will once again be a school. Epworth United Methodist Church, 1901 N. Douglas, was sold to Positive Tomorrows, a private, tuition-free elementary school serving Oklahoma City’s homeless children.
OCU adds Master’s Degree Program in Elementary Teaching
OCU officials have announced the addition of a new master’s degree program in Elementary Teaching. Classes in the program will begin in summer 2015. In a statement about the program, Elizabeth Willner, the director of teacher education, said that a need for more qualified public school teachers motivated university officials to begin the new program.
