Updated policy released banning pets on campus
Students and faculty will no longer see pets playing on the quad.
A policy released Sept. 27 bans student and faculty from bringing pets onto campus.
This includes all buildings and facilities on campus.
Ban for students, faculty bringing pets on campus not supported
Several faculty members were recently advised that bringing dogs or other pets on campus would not be allowed.
Many students bring their pets to campus to play on the Quad or visit friends.
Therapy dogs also are brought to campus for students to pet during midterms and finals as a stress reliever.
Soon, students and faculty may not be allowed to bring animals on campus.
Students, faculty may say bye to pets on campus
Pets may find a less-than-warm welcome on campus in the near future.
Employees from the facilities department recently were asked to stop bringing pets into the facilities building.
