Stress relief week events scheduled for midterms
Student Activity Council will provide opportunities for study breaks beginning Monday for Stress Relief Week. SAC hosts a Stress Relief Week during midterms and finals to encourage students to take study breaks during exam periods. Midterm exams officially begin Oct. 13.

The university counselors promote stress relief during finals week by brining therapy dogs to campus. Brandi Gibson, director of university counseling, said the best way to relieve stress is to maintain a healthy diet and sleep regularly throughout the semester.
Officials promote sober fun through weekend events
This Friday and Saturday, OCU counseling services, housing and the alcohol committee are hosting a sober weekend.
The idea of a sober weekend is to provide students with alternatives to drinking on the weekend. Both Friday and Saturday will consist of fun events and guest speakers who will share about their personal experiences and provide workshops.
