Three OCU students will compete in the quarterfinal match of “Mind Games” at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14. Theresa Hottel, Dustin Austin, and Chance Johnson will face teams from across the state in the match.
Prizes offered in annual poster competition
Undergraduate students have the opportunity to present original posters and win prizes in the annual Fall Poster Contest.The poster contest is a judged scholarly competition that happens every fall, in which undergraduate students have a way of visually presenting information in any field. The posters usually include graphs, charts, illustrations or words, and must have been done during that semester.

School of Law announces new homeland security program
The School of Law announced a new program in homeland security on Tuesday, Nov. 18. The program is titled the Judge Alfred P. Murrah Center for Homeland Security Law and Policy.
Seniors featured in annual cabaret performance
The annual Stargazing Cabaret is hosting their own senior showcase.The Stargazing Cabaret is a student-organized and student-performed show that happens twice a year, once in the fall semester and once in the spring. The show is done to benefit the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids Organization, which is one of the nation’s leading industry-based fundraising and grant-making organizations.
Gold Star Building repairs scheduled for December completion
The long awaited renovation of the Gold Star Memorial Building is slated for completion in December.The building, constructed in 1953, was built in memory of the Methodists who died in World War II, according to an article alumna Amanda Alfanos wrote for The Oklahoman.
Chemistry lab renovation plans revealed
Students required to take chemistry as a part of their degree will have the opportunity to learn in upgraded laboratories.University officials unveiled the $2.2 million renovation plan to current chemistry laboratories in the Dawson-Loeffler Science and Mathematics building at an Oct. 22 trustee meeting.

OCU awarded national honor for community service
