OCU senior, Kathryn Shiro, was the women’s rowing teams top medal earner this weekend. Shiro, 22, won five gold and one bronze medals, beating 2012 Olympic hopefuls along the way.
Shiro is a 2016 Olympic hopeful herself and represented the United States last summer when she earned a spot on the national under-23 team. Her lightweight quadruple sculls boat finished sixth at world championships in Amsterdam and included OCU teammate Jane Imfeld.
