The OCU volleyball team played two games this weekend in the Baker Invitational. The Stars won both matches and Victoria Cross, a senior from Oklahoma City, joined the 30-dib club.
Cross had a career-high 30 digs against Sterling besting her previous single-match high of 28 vs. Bethel (Kan.) on Aug. 27. Her previous career high had been 26 against Bryan (Tenn.) on Oct. 16, 2010.
Previous Stars to have reached the 30-dig mark were Veselka, Nicole Gruenbacher, Meghann Turner and Maryna Verbovetska.
Cross and the rest of the Stars squad play Southern Nazarene at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Abe Lemons Arena in the Stars’ first Sooner Athletic Conference match of the year.
