Senators will vote to approve allotments for the Fall semester and will vote on one piece of legislation at their weekly Senate meeting.
The meeting will be hosted in at 8 p.m. April 5 in Room 104 in Sarkeys Law Center.
Organizations requested more than $65,000 in allotments from Student Government Association.
The allotment committee met last week and made recommendations to the requests which would reduce the allotments down to about $11,000.
The Gamma Phi Beta sorority requested the largest amount in allotments asking for more than $24,000.
The committee’s recommendations to cut that number down to $460.
Senators will also vote on Senate Bill 055, authored by Sen. Edwards Ayo-Odugbesan (international), at the meeting.
The bill requests $900 to fund an annual graduation party hosted by Indian Student Association, the bill states.
The $900 will cover expenses for a disc jockey, decorations, invitations, T-shirts, and food.
New Senator-elects will be present at the meeting.
