OKLAHOMA CITY – A panel discussion focused on women in leadership at Meinders School of Business will feature executive panelists from Chesapekake Energy, Charles Machine Works, the Chickasaw Nation and United Way. The Women in Leadership Powerhouse Panel Discussion will be held from 8 to 11:30 a.m. March 31 in the Gardner Conference Room at the Meinders School of Business.
OCU has partnered with the Senior Executive Women’s Networking Group, Chesapeake Energy and the Executive Resource Center for the event.
Claudia San Pedro, vice president and chief marketing officer for Sonic Corporation, will moderate the discussion. The event willfeature “fireside chats” with Martha Burger, senior vice president of human and corporate resources for Chesapeake Energy and Colleen J. Payne, entrepreneur, author and professional speaker. Topics include entrepreneurship and leadership.
Participants will include Barbara Crandall, from OCU’s Meinders School of Business; Robyn Elliott, Chickasaw Nation; Debby Hampton, United Way; Darcie Harris, EWF; Donna Miller, Executive Resource Center; Judge Jackie Miller, Oklahoma Corporation Commission; Valerie Naifeh, Naifeh Fine Jewelry; Cathy O’Connor, City of Oklahoma City; Lisa Putt, Willis Inc.; Meg Salyer, Oklahoma City City Council and Accel Financial Staffing; and Tiffany Sewell-Howard, Charles Machine Works Inc.
“These remarkable women executives are sharing their experience and expertise to help other women succeed in theirorganizations and help take Oklahoma to the next level,” said Donna Miller, president of the Executive Resources Center and founder of the Senior Executive Women’s Networking Group.
The event is open to the public. Tickets are $50 each. Sponsorships are available, including a $500 contributor sponsorship, a $1,000 associate sponsorship or a $1,500 key sponsorship. The sponsorships will create a scholarship fund for OCU students to attend the event.
