The Societies of OCU will honor four exceptional women Saturday during the annual Awards of Excellence Dinner at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel.
Discounted tickets are available to OCU faculty and staff for $100 each. A reception will begin at 6:30 and dinner at 7:15.
Jenny Love Meyer, Julie Hall, Lori Hill and Jeannette Sias will be honored. Meyer, the Kirkpatrick-Petree Music and Performing Arts Society Award recipient, serves as director of communications for Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores and as director of the Love Family Fund. Hall, the Dulaney-Browne Library Society Award honoree, has served as chair of Allied Arts and president of the Oklahoma Zoological Society. Hill, the Norick-Hulsey Art Gallery Society Award recipient, recently retired from Morgan Stanley. Sias, the OCU Distinguished Philanthropist Society honoree, taught speech therapy in Oklahoma City Public Schools and volunteers for a variety of organizations.
Kirk Hammons is chairing this year’s Awards of Excellence event and Linda Garrett serves as vice chair. Cathy Leichter serves as president of the organization.
