The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion recently announced the launch of a DEI Graduation Cord and Email Signature Badge!
ODEI invites participants to attend ODEI programs, training and events and any DEI-related campus or community events to learn and implement belonging, access and awareness throughout their time here at OCU. Attendance grants participants engagement points for either a DEI Email Signature Badge or a DEI Graduation Cord.
Engagement points are needed to obtain a DEI Email Signature Badge or DEI Graduation Cord (cord only available for First Year Undergraduate Students).
To gain a DEI Email Signature Badge, including a Volunteer Badge and Community Engagement Badge, you must complete the required engagement points by the end of the academic year.
The badge can be received each academic year, and it is open to Undergraduates, Graduate Students, Staff, and Faculty.
The DEI Email Signature Badges require 100 engagement points; each submission will be worth 25 points.
To gain a DEI Graduation Cord, students would need to complete the required 1600 engagement points by the student’s graduation date. Each submission will total 50 points.
The engagement points are recorded by filling out a form located on the OCU ODEI Website, Instagram and Linktree.
The forms must be submitted appropriately in the Academic School Year to qualify for the DEI Email Signature Badge or the DEI Graduation Cord.
Submissions that meet the criteria for either the DEI Badge or DEI Graduation Cord will be approved by the VP of DEI, Director of DEI and Assistant Director of Disability Access Services.
