More than 300 students auditioned for the Bass School of Music’s spring production of Anything Goes. On Jan. 16 and 17, participants sang before a panel of judges, including Dr. David Herendeen, director of opera and musical theater. A select few were then called back for the singing and dancing portions of the process.
Set aboard the S.S. American, Anything Goes features singing, dancing and plenty of intrigue. Its classic soundtrack includes music and lyrics by Cole Porter. In 1987 and 2011, it also won Tony awards for “Best Revival.”
Performances will take place April 21-23 in Kirkpatrick Auditorium in Kirkpatrick Fine Arts Center.
Tickets may be purchased online or in person at the OCU box office.
