Oklahoma City University’s Student Publications’ staff is responsible for the production and publishing of the university’s student newspaper, The Campus, and the university’s student media website, MediaOCU.
Mission Statement
The purpose of Oklahoma City University’s Student Publications is to inform, entertain and serve the campus community. The community includes the university’s student body, faculty, staff and administrators.
Although Student Publications serves a broad community, the publications’ primary focus is OCU’s student body. Student Publications not only informs, entertains and serves the students, but also serves as the students’ printed voices. This is done while maintaining the university’s focus on a liberal arts education rooted in the United Methodist tradition of servant leadership.
The publications fulfill the above missions through accurate, ethical and objective reporting of student-related issues and events. Coverage is facilitated by members of a student editorial board and overseen by a faculty adviser.
While fulfilling the above missions, the publications provide students with realistic, hands-on journalistic training in an academic setting to students in any major.

Hi Media OCU! I was in the library not too long ago looking at our old yearbooks for an assignment. I noticed that the last yearbook in there was 2015. Does OCU still produce the Constellation? I also noticed in the library that there was a period of time in the seventies, I believe, where no yearbooks have been produced. Are we in a period like that right now? Thanks for taking the time to look at my question–I was just curious. :)

Hello Luke! I am the managing editor at Student Publications. Yes, a few years ago Student Publications decided to stop producing a yearbook. For those of us currently running it, we do not know if it will return, and if so, when. Thank you for your question and interest!

I believe the OKCU students would be interested in the video showing Lt Lahue ‘s unprofessional Conduct while arresting a photographer for exercising his rights to film the Police station at OKSU.
