President Robert Henry and his wife, Dr. Jan Henry, will give students who cannot go home for Thanksgiving a place to celebrate with the campus community.
Henry is partnering with Sodexo to provide a Thanksgiving meal free of charge to students who are unable to go home because it is too far away. Lunch is scheduled for 1 p.m. Nov. 28 in the Wilson House. The menu is a “traditional Thanksgiving bill of fare,” according to an email sent to students by Henry.
“It’s a great idea for those who do not have friends to go with on thanksgiving and are unable to leave campus to go home or anywhere else,” said Eric Capelle, vocal performance sophomore.
Students can make a reservation by calling student affairs at 405-208-7900 before noon Nov. 23. Reservations are first come first serve.
“This is an act of good will by the president and food services,” said Amy Ayers, vice president for student affairs and dean of students.
