The cast of the newest production, The 20th Anniversary Oklahoma City Bombing Project, opened their doors April 6 for a special rehearsal for local media to attend.
The 20th Anniversary Oklahoma City Bombing Project tells the story of survivors of the Alfred P. Murrah Building bombing. The building was bombed April 19, 1995, killing 168 people.
Courtney DiBello, director of the show, said the show is a gift from the university to Oklahoma City on the bombing’s 20th anniversary.
Reporters from local media groups were able to talk to DiBello, Brian Parson, the theater school’s associate dean, and the show’s student cast and crew.
This was the first time anyone outside of the cast and crew has been allowed to watch a rehearsal of a show before it officially opens.
The show runs at 8 p.m. April 16-18 and 2 p.m. April 19 in Burg Theater in Kirkpatrick Fine Arts Center.
