Three members of the women’s golf team finished in the top 10 at the Embry-Riddle Eagle Invitational March 17 at LPGA International’s Jones Course.
Sophomore Anna Mikish posted a seventh-place individual finish to lead Oklahoma City University to a fourth-place showing.
Mikish supplied the Stars with a 73-78–151. Oklahoma City, ranked fifth in NAIA women’s golf, shot 309-309–618 on the par-73, 6,076-yard course.
Third-ranked SCAD Savannah (Ga.) topped the 14-team field that included eight top-25 teams. Top-ranked Northwood (Fla.) took second, while 14th-ranked Texas Wesleyan came in third. Second-ranked William Woods (Mo.) finished fifth.
Sophomores Kailey Campbell and Katie-Lee Wilson tied for eighth. Campbell posted an 80-72–152, and Wilson provided the Stars a 79-73–152.
The temperature started at 63 degrees at the beginning of the round and climbed to 81 degrees by mid-day. Winds were calm, blowing up to 7 mph.
The Stars compete in the Houston Baptist Husky Invitational March 30-31 at Riverbend Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas.
