Senior forward Gary Inglett reeled in Sooner Athletic Conference men’s basketball player of the week for the week of Feb. 2-8.
Inglett posted 20.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists as the Stars knocked off league-leading Mid-America Christian, ranked 14th in the NAIA, 72-67 on Feb. 5 before dispatching Southwestern Christian 75-63 on Saturday.
Inglett had 25 points and 13 rebounds in the win at Mid-America and blocked the Evangels’ Semar Farris’ 3-point attempt at the buzzer. Inglett hit 8 of his 10 shots from the field and shot 8-for-10 from the free-throw line, hitting six free throws in the final 12 seconds to help OCU get the win.
On the season, Inglett provides OCU with 19.1 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists a game while shooting 54.1 percent from the floor. He leads the conference in rebounding and double-doubles (eight) while ranking second in field-goal percentage. In conference play, Inglett produces 20.9 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.
