The softball team is hosting an event in order to raise money for OCU’s prospective anatomy lab.
The team announced its “A Night Under the Lights” event, which will allow members of the OCU community to bat against the softball players. The event will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 at the Ann Lacy Stadium.
For $100, any ticket holder can try to hit five pitches thrown by the softball team. The event organizers are offering discounted student prices at $25 for five pitches.
For those more interested in watching the event than going up to bat, a $5 entrance fee will gain you admittance and a hot bowl of chili.
Participants are also invited to join the Chili Cook Off, which will gain them free admission and the chance to win a trophy awarded for Best Chili.
All proceeds at the event will go towards outfitting OCU’s new Anatomy Lab with proper equipment. If you are unable to attend the event, but would like to make a donation, you can visit the website.
Space at the event is limited, so participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Registration and more information is available at the fundraiser website. For more information, please contact Amber Hicks at hicks@okcu.edu.
