Get off campus this weekend and enjoy the first weekend of fall weather in Oklahoma City!
Friday, Oct. 3
-The Oklahoma Regatta Festival: 6 to 10 p.m., Oct. 2-5 in the Boathouse District. The five day event celebrates rowing, kayaking, dragon boating and more on the Oklahoma River. Events will include races and regattas, and a festival area featuring live music, food, and fun and games. Fireworks will take place on Friday and Saturday nights. Free to visit. -First Friday Walk in the Paseo District: 6-10 p.m. at 28th and N. Walker Ave. Visit over 17 galleries to view the work of Oklahoma artists. Receptions will take place in several galleries to celebrate the release of new works. Free admission.
-Czech Festival in Yukon, OK: 6-10 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. Head to Yukon to experience one of the largest ethnic festivals in Oklahoma. The event will feature a carnival, parades, craft booths, food and costumes. Admission is free. Visit the website here.
Saturday, Oct. 4
-Peace, Love and Goodwill Festival: 9 a.m.-11 p.m. at the Myriad Botanical Gardens in Downtown OKC. Visit this all day festival featuring live music, crafts, art, and the most famous chefs in Oklahoma. Sponsored by Goodwill Industries of Oklahoma. Free admission. Visit the website here.
-The Old Volks Show: Opens at 8 a.m. at 3700 W Reno Ave. See Volkswagons from across the decades as car aficionados show their fanciest Volks. The event will feature music from the ’60s and ’70s and food trucks. Free admission.
