It is easy to forget that OCU is in the middle a large city with a community other than the students, faculty and staff who live and work here.
It is important to remember that the campus is accessible by outside people.
Students should be aware of their surroundings at all times.
Do not let people you don’t know into buildings, particularly dorms.
If you see someone or something suspicious, report it to an RA or to the OCU police department at (405) 208-5911.
It is always better to be safe in these situations.
Students are encouraged to use the buddy system when walking across campus.
OCUPD also can give students rides back to their dorms. Students are encouraged to be vigilant about their surroundings.
While everyone would like to think OCU is the safest place to be, it is important to remember that we must always be aware of our surroundings.
