Enrollment for the spring semester began Monday for certain students.
Enrollment opened Monday for honors students and Tuesday for students who have completed 60 or more hours. All other students can register starting today.
To enroll, students first need to meet with their adviser and receive their alternate PIN number.
Students can go onto BlueLink and click the STAR tab.
From there, select Student, then select Registration and click on the Add or Drop a class link.
Finally, enter the PIN and follow the instructions to select classes.
Students can find the list of available classes on BlueLink or at http://www.okcu.edu/academics/course-schedule.
Kevin Windholz is vice president of enrollment management.
He oversees the office of admission and watches enrollment trends in order to better plan enrollment for the future.
Windholz said that most students enroll right away. Students who don’t enroll quickly usually wait because of a hold on their student account.
Not all holds prevent students from enrolling. Certain holds, such as immunization records, do not prevent students from enrolling in next semester.
Holds placed for financial reasons will typically prevent a student from enrolling.
Enrollment in schools where there is a set course schedule, such as the Kramer School of Nursing, works differently.
In those schools, students must meet with their adviser to enroll.
As enrollment draws closer, some students are becoming concerned.
“Enrollment is coming very quickly, and I’m nervous my holds will become an issue,” said Cameron Calloway, biology junior.
Account holds can be viewed on Bluelink accounts.
