Elizabeth Stolper was crowned Miss OCU 2014 on Saturday.
Stolper, dance performance sophomore, competed in the Miss OCU pageant along with 12 other contestants. In addition to the Miss OCU title, Stolper also tied for overall talent for her lyrical dance to “You Raise me Up.”
“I’m literally so excited. This is a huge goal for me. I’m so excited to go to Miss. Oklahoma and represent OCU,” Stolper said.
Sarah Beth White, Miss OCU 2013, said giving away her crown is bittersweet.
“It’s been the best experience, I’ve always wanted to be Miss. OCU. We have the best board who treat you like family,” White said. “I’m so excited for Elizabeth, she is a Gamma Phi sister, an amazing performer, and a fellow Ann Lacy student and I am so excited to see what she will do this year.”
Now, Stolper will begin the process of getting ready for Miss Oklahoma with the help of Darwina Marshall, the president and executive director of Miss OCU and the leader of the prep team for Miss. Oklahoma.
“We will create an Image for her. It will take us about nine months to get her ready for Miss Oklahoma in June,” Marshall said.
