The chapter had the first meeting Aug. 27. They elected Elton Joe as president, Nicholson Blaise as vice president, Johnathan Phipps as treasurer and Tim Tidwell as secretary. The faculty advisor for the chapter is Greg Brooks, assistant professor of nursing.
AAMN was founded in Chicago in 1974, and how has 65 chapters with more that 1,000 members across the nation.
