The electricity went out at about 9 p.m. April 17 across campus because of storms in the area. It was restored about 9:45 p.m.
At the time, Oklahoma City was under a thunderstorm warning and a tornado watch.
The campus was part of an Oklahoma Gas & Electric Co. outage that affected 622 customers in Oklahoma City.
“Power is out campuswide. Crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible,” according to a Blue Alert message students received at 9:29 p.m.
During the outage, students reported via Twitter that power still was on in Henry J. Freede Wellness and Activity Center. Emergency lights were operational in some campus buildings, including Walker Hall dormitory.
