Hi Stars!
I can’t believe we are already halfway through our fall semester! The Campus has been thrilled to create exciting stories for the OCU community to read and share. Our main goal has been expanding our social media presence, and our unique social media team has been working tirelessly to bring The Campus’s mission to life. We’re so pleased to see an increase in engagement, and it’s lovely to know that OCU is enjoying our content! I hope everyone had a fantastic fall break. As we reach this midpoint in the semester, remember to take care of yourselves and celebrate your accomplishments—big and small! Together, let’s finish strong!
Go Stars!

Howdy, y’all–
I want to use this space to focus on updates for The Campus as we all move closer to finishing this semester. I also express extreme gratitude to all of you who have read the paper or a story, viewed our Instagram page, shared our Instagram page, or given us feedback on our first issue of the semester. Some of that feedback came in the form of corrections, which I openly and encouragingly welcome. It was brought to my attention by Dr. Mohamed Daadaoui that the OCU Alum Olympic Runner story from last month included an error. It was previously misstated that Zouhair Talbi represented the United States in the Olympics when, in actuality, he was running for Morocco. Thank you, Dr. Daadaoui!
Moving forward, The Campus will be expanding its media coverage and platforms. We have big goals to tell you about a form of multimedia at a later date. We want to know if stories need to be talked about and shared! Please share with us any matters occurring on campus that you feel matter. I encourage you to email me at dellington@my.okcu.edu or DM our Instagram @media_ocu and interact with us there. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to tell your campus’s stories and lead our student publication staff.
Stay safe and study hard!
