Oklahoma City University has appointed Blythe Benson as the university’s new Chief Human Resources Officer.
Benson had served as the interim head of the OCU Human Resources office since December.
Benson, a familiar face at OCU since 2007, has been vital to the university’s Human Resources department. Initially, she served as a compensation and benefits coordinator. Over the years, she has taken on various roles, showcasing her versatility and dedication to the institution.
Benson became the director of compensation and classification in 2011, eventually transitioning into the role of director of compensation in benefits in 2013.
In a statement sent to OCU, President Evans expressed how Benson provides a sense of leadership and commitment to the university, as well as expressing confidence in Benson and her extensive knowledge and dedication to the OCU community.
During her tenure, Benson has driven initiatives and operations within the HR department that prioritize employee satisfaction. Her people-centric approach has significantly contributed to the positive work environment at OCU.
Recent projects include implementing the PageUp talent management suite, transitioning to a new medical plan model and developing and implementing the compensation initiative.
In her statement sent to OCU, Benson reiterated her commitment to the community and the institution, expressing her eagerness to collaborate and support each individual.
