Last semester, former Chief Financial Officer Kevan Buck left his position at Oklahoma City University to pursue a new employment opportunity.
Anna Davis was named the interim chief financial officer in December. After a nationwide search, Davis has been named the new Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President for Finance and Business Operations.
Davis was hired as a controller for the university in the summer of 2021. During her time in that role, she has implemented new standards and procedures for the department, including implementing new strategies for cash reserves.
Davis completed her bachelor’s degree in business administration and her Master of Science in accounting at Oklahoma State University.
Davis is a Certified Public Accountant and, before joining OCU, has gained many years of experience working at different accounting firms, such as KPMG and Grant Thornton. She served as a senior manager at the KPMG Oklahoma City office for nearly two years.
In a statement that President Kenneth Evans sent out to the university, Evans expressed his enthusiasm for Davis’s new role and that she brings important assets to the university.
Davis also expressed excitement in the statement President Evans sent out, expressing how she is looking forward to collaborating with different stakeholders across campus.
