From embracing and welcoming new students before attending their matriculation to wishing students the best of luck as they prepare to attend commencement, Megan Hornbeek Allen, who works in alumni engagement, has experienced it all and embraced every moment.
Hornbeek Allen has worked in the Oklahoma City University Office of Alumni Engagement and Advancement since December 2018. She has contributed significantly to numerous events, alumni and donor relations, commencement, matriculation, and much more.
Before starting her position at OCU, Hornbeek Allen worked in various roles for the Oklahoma Community Foundation from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, she worked at Oklahoma City Community College and Boston University School of Theology as Registrar.
Megan obtained her B.A. in Religion in 2003 at Oklahoma City University. Shortly after, she obtained her M.A. in Higher Education Administration in 2005, at Boston University, and then obtained her M.A. in Theological Studies in 2011, at Boston University.
Megan has recently announced that she will be transitioning from full-time to part-time to pursue other opportunities, including starting a business.
Megan’s dedication to the university has left a lasting imprint on the university. Her transition from full-time to part-time signifies a new chapter filled with possibilities for not just Megan but also OCU itself.
