OCU hosts an impressive archives collection that expands every year, holding relics of not only the school’s past, but even some historical pieces.
Of the many collections the archives office holds, a few stand out. The Hamilton watch collection is one of these.
This boasting collection also consists of Shakespearean literature including the 1770 Oxford Shakespeare publications.
The Archives Office allows both students and the public access to this collection, giving a plethora of knowledge and sharing authentic pieces of history and literature.
Students can check out and view nearly every piece of the collection through a reservation system, or for certain information a walk-in will do.
Students will have access to documents from the United Methodist Church in Oklahoma and OCU’s history, student works and many other institutions.
The plethora of materials in the archives collection gifts students the ability to study and learn from historical and modern documents for their studies.
From a wide range of religious topics to books written by previous students, and to the history of Oklahoma and parts of the wider world.
Students also have access to the doctorate dissertations of previous students for study and assistance with their own.
The Archives Office provides access to an amazing collection of history and data that is available during office hours and with reservations.
Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and items can be reserved and checked out through the Dulaney-Browne Library website.
