Meanwhile, the university’s softball team, under the guidance of Coach Phil McSpadden, is ready to make waves on the diamond.
Known for their teamwork, speed, and strategic play, the softball squad is determined to build on past successes.
Coach McSpadden commented, “Our goal is, and will always be, a National Championship. Sometimes that goal is unrealistic, but it should never keep us from ‘shooting for the stars.’ We’ve been blessed through the years with many talented student-athletes, that have set a standard that every team tries to duplicate, and that expectation, in many instances, has allowed us to over-achieve, so there’s never been a time when we didn’t believe we weren’t in the hunt for another title.”
Fans can mark their calendars for key matchups, including rivalry games and conference clashes that promise intense competition. Both teams are counting on the support of the university community as they aim for success in every inning.
Whether you’re a die-hard fan or a casual observer, get ready for a thrilling season of university baseball and softball!
