TheatreOCU’s first performance of the semester was Bad Shakespeare, an original work that pieced together soliloquies and scenes involving villains from plays by William Shakespeare and analyzing what made them evil.
The play was part of a study abroad trip dedicated to studying Shakespeare. Students performed Bad Shakespeare at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. The OCU performances took place at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sept. 1 in the Black Box theater in Wanda L. Bass Music Center.

- Jordan Kilgore, acting junior, plays “Aaron the Moor” from Titus Andronicus.
- Hannah Hamel, acting sophomore, plays “Shylock” from The Merchant of Venice.
- Jacqueline Bennett, acting senior, plays “Macbeth.”
- Ginger Harris, acting sophomore, and Corinne Prudente, acting junior, discuss Shakespeare in between monologues.
- Dawson MacLeod, acting senior, plays “Iago” from Othello.
