The Wanda L. Bass School of Music’s final musical of the season is “On The Town.” The musical was chosen to be a part of #BernsteinAt100, a worldwide celebration of American composer Leonard Bernstein’s 100th birthday. The musical follows three sailors who have 24 hours to spend in New York City.
The show’s last performance is 3 p.m. April 22 in Kirkpatrick Auditorium in Kirkpatrick Fine Arts Center.
- Collin O’Neill and Janna Schmid, music theater juniors, perform “Come Up to My Place.”
- Jessica Martens, music theater/vocal performance junior, and Blake Sauceda, acting sophomore, perform “Carried Away.”
- Adam LaPorte, music theater/composition sophomore, sings “Lonely Town.”
- Kathryn King, dance sophomore, and Elena Gage, second-year music theater, sing “Carnegie Hall Pavane.”
- Janna Schmid, music theater junior, sings “I Can Cook Too” to Collin O’Neill, music theater junior.
- The ensemble sings “Lucky to be Me.”
- Jenna McWilliams and Holly Gibson, music theater seniors, gossip.
- The dance ensemble performs the “Times Square Ballet.”
- Diamond Eddie’s Girls sing “So Long, Baby.”
- Claire Fossey, music theater sophomore, plays “Diana Dream.”
- Zoe Dongas, music theater freshman, plays “Señorita Dolores Dolores.”
- Collin O’Neill, music theater junior, and Adam LaPorte, music theater/composition sophomore, play “Chip” and “Gabey.”
- The couples sing “Ya Got Me.”
- Anna Lasbury, music theater junior, and Jacob Elliott, music theater senior, play “Lucy” and “Piktin.”
- Kathryn King, dance sophomore, dances for Adam LaPorte, music theater/composition sophomore.
- Jeffrey Laughrun, music theater junior, and Ben Hild, vocal performance junior, scold Blake Sauceda, acting sophomore.
- Jeremy Small, second-year music theater; Jacob Arnold, music theater freshman, and Andrew Maguire, music theater sophomore, play new sailors.
