Brandon Doyle, acting senior, shares his experience with the dating scene.
Q: How old were you when you went on your first date?
A: 13
Q: Tell me about your first date ever.
A: I took a girl out to watch New Moon. Her name was Sadie. This was obviously back when I was “straight.” Also, my mom drove us and sat behind us in the theater.
Q: What was your worst date?
A: I think any date in which I eat a salad is a bad one because I look like a cow chomping on grass.
Q: What was the weirdest date you’ve been on?
A: Probably the one when we watched Fifty Shades of Grey and, disappointingly, didn’t have sex afterward.
Q: Do you prefer to ask other people out, or have them ask you out?
A: I’m usually too scared to ask people out, unless I’ve had a couple cosmos.
Q: What is the best date location in OKC?
A: Vast at the top of the Devon tower because nothing is better than getting wined and dined on top of the world by your loved one.
Q: What is the best gift you’ve ever given someone?
A: I once gave a girl in middle school a life-sized teddy bear. But I was “straight” then so maybe it doesn’t count. Also, what a cliche gift, BRANDON. Jeez.
Q: What is the best gift you’ve ever received?
A: No one has ever given me anything on Valentine’s Day so my current boyfriend better come in clutch.
Q: What is your dream date?
A: I’d have to say April 25th. Because it’s not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket.
Q: Do you have any Valentine’s Day plans?
A: My boyfriend is surprising me with something so STAY TUNED.
Q: What dating advice do you have for your peers?
A: Eat a big salad on the first date. If he/she can still love you after seeing lettuce hanging out of your mouth as if you’re a cow chomping on grass, marry him/her.
