The first Stage II production of the semester is Is He Dead?
The comedy is adapted from a play by Mark Twain and tells the story of a struggling painter who fakes his death in order to sell more art. The production has performances at 8 p.m. Jan. 25-27 and 2 p.m. Jan. 28 in Black Box Theater in the Wanda L. Bass Music Center.
- Kaden Mahle, dance freshman; Mary Taylor Hesterberg, acting sophomore, and Jordan Kilgore, acting sophomore, portray “O’Shaugnessy,” “Marie,” and “Jean Francois-Millet.”
- Brooke Moltrum, acting freshman, portrays “Cecile.”
- Erik Hamilton, acting sophomore, comes up with an idea.
- Kaden Mahle, dance freshman; Andrew Tompkins, acting freshman, and Erik Hamilton, acting junior, convince Jordan Kilgore, acting sophomore to pretend to be dead.
- Andrew Tompkins, acting freshman, and Kaden Mahle, dance freshman, notice a potential buyer.

- Mercedes Arndt, acting junior, and Kirby Crosbie, acting freshman, portray “Madame Bathilde” and “Madame Caron.”

- Brooke Moltrum, acting freshman, disguises as a member of the police.
- Brandon Elder, acting senior, attempts to woo Jordan Kilgore, acting sophomore.
- The cast gathers on Millet’s fake funeral day.
- Mary Taylor Hesterberg, acting sophomore, mourns Millet.
- Erik Hamilton, acting sophomore, and Andrew Tompkins, acting freshman, portray “Chicago” and “O’Shaughnessy.”
- Owen Whitham, acting sophomore, and Kirby Crosbie, acting freshman, come to examine the body of Millet
- The cast reacts to the entrance of Jordan Kilgore, acting senior.
