A university trustee and alumnus is offering a session on leadership.
Phil Busey, CEO of the Busey Group of Companies, is hosting the leadership development session at 2 p.m. March 29 in the Great Hall in Tom and Brenda McDaniel University Center.
The session will cover styles of leadership, team building approaches, importance of communication, and collaboration.
Supervisor employees, OCULeads students and alumni and honors students are encouraged to attend. If seating allows, other students, faculty and staff will be welcome as well.
Busey practiced law for 27 years until founding and becoming the CEO of both the Delaware Resource Group and the Busey Goup of Companies. Busey helped DRG grow from 2 employees in 2002 to over 700 employees in 45 locations around the world. He has taught over 100 seminars about leadership, commercial law, small business development, etc.
During his time at OCU, Busey studied history and political science. He also was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. After earning his bachelor’s degrees, he went on to receive his J.D. from the School of Law.
“With him being both an alumnus and trustee, I feel like this leadership workshop is an excellent opportunity to explore our leadership abilities in our community,” said Katelyn Jassoy, music theater freshman.
