Sophomore Guard Terence Bonhomme of Oklahoma City University became the Sooner Athletic Conference men’s basketball player of the week for Dec. 28-Jan. 3.
Bonhomme compiled 24.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.50 steals per game in OCU’s two games over the past week. Bonhomme reeled in OCU’s first SAC men’s basketball player of the week nod of the season.
On the week, Bonhomme shot 47.2 percent (17-for-36) from the field and 91.7 percent (11-for-12) from the free-throw line. Bonhomme rang up a career-high 30 points at West Texas A&M on Saturday in Canyon, Texas. Bonhomme became the first Star to reach 30 points since Tharone Chilton had 31 against St. Gregory’s on Feb. 19 at Abe Lemons Arena.
In 2015-16, Bonhomme has posted 16.8 points and 3.0 rebounds a game while shooting 51.1 percent from the floor and 42.6 percent on 3-pointers.
The Stars (5-3) faced Bacone Jan. 7 and Bonhomme brought in a team-high 21 points.
