Music plays a large part in the holiday season. In their enthusiasm for winter break, many people have already begun listening to Christmas songs and other holiday carols that completely skip over the closest upcoming holiday: Thanksgiving. Some people excuse this offense by pointing out the lack of Thanksgiving songs, so I have provided a few recognizable choices.
1. “Thank You” – Adele
Thank you from the other side
I should’ve called a thousand times
To tell you I’m thankful for everything, that you’ve done
Next time I call, I really hope you are home
2. “Thank You” – The Beatles
Thank you, for being rad
(You)Take a sad me, and make it better.
Remember to let me into your heart
Thanks for your part in making me better.
3. “Thankful for Love” – Beyoncé
Got me looking so thankful right now, your love’s
Got me looking so thankful right now (your love)
Got me looking so thankful right now, your touch
Got me looking so thankful right now (your touch)
Got me hoping you’ll page me right now, your kiss
Got me hoping you’ll save me right now
Thankful so thankful your love’s,
Got me thankful, got me thankful, thankful for your love.
4. “Thankful” – Michael Jackson
‘Cause I am thankful, on this night
And I would surely save you from a beast about to
Strike
You know thankful, on this night
You’re awesome in my life so I am thankful
Thankful tonight
5. “I Thank You” – Hamilton
Oceans rise
Empires fall
Thanks for being with me through it all
And when push
Comes to shanks
I will send a fully armed battalion
To remind you of my thanks
6. “Thanks Thanks” – Ariana Grande/Nicki Minaj
Thanks thanks, you light the room (I thank you for it)
Thanks thanks, you help me through (I’m thankful for it)
Wait a minute let me thank you here (ah)
Wait a minute thank ya (ah)
Thanks!
7. “I Will Always Thank You” – Whitney Houston
And I….. Will always thank you
