Two of the emergency phones on campus are out of order.
The phones East of the Dawson-Loeffler Science & Mathematics Center and on the Quad South of Tom and Brenda McDaniel University Center have been down for a couple of weeks, said Bradd Brown, chief of police.
Brown said he did not have the information with him to give an exact date.
Oklahoma City University Police Department uses a system that does monthly checks on the emergency phones and were notified of the phones being down.
The phones are out of order due to corroded phone lines going to them, Brown said.
Todd Rust, assistant director of campus technology and telecommunications, is in charge of the emergency phones and is working with the university electrician to get the lines replaced, Brown said.
Rust was unavailable for comment on Nov. 20.
