- Joe Wright’s new movie, Pan, was not only incredibly unsuccessful in the U.S., but was also a huge disappointment in China. China has acted as a sort of “safety net” for films that have not done well domestically, but Pan just couldn’t stand up to it’s competition in the box office. In order to see a profit for this film, it will have to reach $400 million dollars, which will most likely not happen. Don’t worry about missing this film in theaters!
