A former U.S. Ambassador to Israel and Egypt will be hosting a talk and Q&A on Sept. 1 about foreign policy and relations with the Middle East.
Ambassador Daniel Kurtzer is currently a professor of Middle East Policies and studies at Princeton University. He served for four years as the U.S. ambassador to Egypt and as a political officer at the American embassies in Cairo and Tel Aviv from 2001 to 2005.
Ambassador Kurtzer is hostinga discussion for the general public from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Kerr-Mcgee Auditorium in the Meinders School of Business.
Before the public talk, there is a student forum hosted specifically for OCU students from 3:45-4:45 p.m. in room 100 in Sarkeys Law Center.
“This is a great opportunity for us at OCU and all OCU students to get to be around Ambassador Kurtzer and to get to learn from him and hear him talk,” said Mohamed Daadaoui, associate professor of political science. “He will be covering the latest current events of importance on the middle east and policies in the region.”
Both events are free and all students are encouraged to attend the student forum and the public discussion. Though there is no cost to attend, reservations are appreciated and can be made at http://okcu.edu/Kurtzer.
