Incoming freshmen lined up at the West Lawn Pavilion to check in to the residence halls Aug. 18.
The new students had the help of New Student Orientation leaders and Greek life members to move into Walker, Banning and Draper Halls.
“It’s going really well and really smooth,” said Jeri Jones, administrative assistant for university housing. “I’d say it’s going smoother than previous years because we had more participation and it makes us all really excited about this year.”
This year the housing office restricted first-time freshmen from living in Oklahoma United Methodist Hall or Cokesbury Court Apartments.
Students said they are looking forward to living on campus.
“I’m really excited,” said Katie Oliver, dance freshman. “Everyone seems so nice and upbeat.”
Students even commented on the organization of the move in process.
“It seems good and organized,” said Ryan McGobern, music composition freshman.
