Senior Guard Rateska Brown was awarded first-team NAIA all-American accolades from the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, while senior Center Ouleymatou Coulibaly and senior Guard Yvonte Neal pulled in honorable-mention honors.
“These honors are well deserved,” Coach Latricia Trammell said. “They are great young ladies and great leaders on our team. It’s an honor to these players to be recognized nationally as being some of the top players in the country.”
Brown became the Sooner Athletic Conference player of the year, newcomer of the year and SAC Tournament most valuable player. She entered the national tournament averaging 19.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.78 steals per contest. She ranks in the top 10 nationally in scoring average, 3-pointers per game (3.22) and treys made (87).
Coulibaly took first-team all-SAC accolades. Coulibaly accumulated 15.2 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.04 steals per game through March 7. She ranks among the NAIA leaders in offensive rebounds a game.
Neal snagged second-team all-conference. She amassed 14.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.46 steals a game through the conference tournament.
