The women’s golf team took third in the Southern Nazarene Invitational March 10 at KickingBird Golf Course.
OCU, ranked No. 4 in NAIA women’s golf, fell by 12 strokes to tournament winner Central Oklahoma.
Freshman Emma Allen led the Stars with a 75-75–150 while converting four birdies and tied for seventh on the par-70, 5,824 yard course.
Sophomore Anna Mikish turned in a 76-76–152 while knocking down six birdies and took eleventh.
Kailey Campbell tied for 14th with a 74-80–154 and collected 24 pars, while sophomore Caroline Goodin turned in a 79-16–155. Sophomore Abby Thompson provided an 83-79–162.
Weather conditions featured 46-degree temperature at the beginning of the day and rose to 63 later in the afternoon. Winds blew up to 7 mph.
The Stars travel to Daytona Beach, Fla. to play in the Embry-Riddle Eagle Invitational at the LGPA International on March 16.
