The men’s wrestling team has added Nathan Daniels of Del City, Okla., Mitchell Landgrebe of Cedar Park, Texas and Dustin Mason of Tuttle, Okla., to the team for 2015-16.
The Stars have gone 7-4 this season in duals and hold the 13th spot in the latest NAIA rankings. OCU faces Nebraska-Kearney, sixth-ranked in NCAA Division II, at 6 p.m., then Colorado State-Pueblo at 8 p.m. Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena.
Daniels finished as 195-pound runner-up in the Class 5A state tournament as a junior. Daniels compiled a 27-5 record last season.
Landgrebe posted a 32-7 record with 19 falls as a junior for Cedar Park Vista Ridge (Texas). Landgrebe took third place in the Texas state tournament while capturing district and regional championships. He also went 13-4 with nine pins as a sophomore.
Mason won the Class 4A 285-pound championship as a junior to help Tuttle (Okla.) take its sixth consecutive team state crown. Mason defeated Jose Cuevas of Weatherford 2-1 in the ultimate tiebreaker round in the title match to finish 42-5 on the season. He picked up second-team Oklahoman all-city honors.
