When it comes to the Super Bowl, the first thing that comes to mind are the commercials. Some are sad, some are funny, and some probably shouldn’t have even been shown, but either way, they’re what most of America watches the Super Bowl for and what companies spend millions of dollars on.
The editors of Student Publications have picked out our five favorite ads from the Super Bowl 2015:
1. Budweiser- Lost Dog
Let’s face it, Budweiser knows what they’re doing when it comes to their Super Bowl ads. They have mastered the art of stealing the audience’s hearts with their animal ads since the beginning. This year their “Lost Dog” ad was by far the best, not only according to us, but also according to USA today. Although Forbes wasn’t a fan of the ad, I think their contributor Erik Kain said it best when he said, “Cute puppies are hard to beat.”

2. Always- Like a Girl
Always shortening down their original “Like a Girl” promotional video to work for their Super Bowl ad was the smartest choice they could have made. The original promo began as a social experiment. It was a strong video with an even stronger message that went viral on social media. #LikeaGirl became a trending hashtag then, and even more so after the ad was aired during the Super Bowl. This commercial was one of the first Super Bowl commercial to focus a positive, empowering light on woman during the game.

3. Fiat- Blue Pill
Fiat’s “Blue Pill” commercial wasn’t a tear jerker, but it was hilarious, and caught a lot of our attention’s. That’s pretty much it, it’s just funny.

4. Supercell- Angry Neeson
Wether you’re a Clash of Clans fan, Taken fan or just a Liam Neeson fan, Supercell did really well this ad. It’s hilarious that such a fun and silly game is being represented by the amazingly talented, intense Liam Neeson.

5. Esurance- Say My Name
As a Breaking Bad fan, I personally was too excited to find out that Walter White (Bryan Cranston) was in a Super Bowl ad, as were too many other people to count on my news feed on Facebook. Myself, as well as the other editors, loved this commercial and thought it was brilliantly weird and hilarious.
