There is no water on campus due to a water main break in Oklahoma City.
The water main is shut down to make necessary repairs.
OCU has an emegernecy feed that is designed to feed the physicial plant that can supply water to most of campus.
Mark Clouse, director of facilities, said in a Jan. 15 email that the emergency feed was not working and had to be turned off.
Facilities officials knew there would be little pressure and the water will likely be dirty because the feed is rarely used. The emergency feed could not be used because some of the valves were not holding and the repairs cannot be made at this time.
Due to no water, the boiler and chiller systems are shut down.
The facilities crew is working with the city to get the problem corrected, and will bring these systems back up as soon as repairs are made.
